The General Assembly (meeting held on 15th May 2010) discussed and voted on the measures for coping with the reduced state funding following Ordinance No76/20th April 2010 of the Council of Ministers concerning the optimization of the monthly expenditures and transfer/funds allocation of the state budget. The measures voted are also in connection with the resolutions of 32nd Meeting of the General Assembly of BAS. The General Assembly of IP-BAS adopted a plan for reducing the expenditures. It also adopted a decision that all employees at the Institute will take a 2 (two) days of unpaid leave every month.
The scientists will do their best to keep their commitments to the realization of the running research projects. They express their concern that a further reduction of the funding from the budget and longer unpaid leaves will have a serious negative impact upon the research programs of the projects carried out.
